And the SanDisk 4GB card has the thinner Type I profile and a builtin. The SimpleTech ProX 8GB CompactFIash card, also Type II, is claimed to have even. It was just awesome! Now I'm not so sure. Simply can't beat the bang-for-the-buck value of this mp3 player not to mention the raved-about sound quality this device has.Pros: First off, I loved this thing. The fact that I can say "I can play Doom on this." should tell you quite a bit about the customizability of the device.Throw in a 32GB class 4 SDHCmicro card such as this one: and suddenly you have a 40GB mp3 player the size of a matchbox that only cost $125. The ability to easily throw the Rockbox firmware on the Clip+ adds an insane amount of useability to the device as well as extra features such as a much better EQ and custom "now playing" screens. It fell off my pack one time while hiking down a mountain and it took nearly 2 hours of hiking back up the mountain to find it and I got lucky that time.Overall Review: The original Clip was an awesome device but Sansa listens to user comments and suggestions and has incorporated a lot of them into this new Clip+. I've owned one original Clip and two of the Clip+ and have yet to break it but I generally take care of my equipment pretty well.Black is a nice color but because the device is so small it would be handy to be able to change the color to something a little brighter/more noticeable. Ntfs for mac full freeThink one inch by two by a half.I've had this for three months now, and today for the third time I've had a hard drive corruption. I knew it was small when I bought it, but was still surprised at just HOW small. When I do, it's more my own fault for not charging it.Cons: It's small, really small. As Micro SD cards improve you can improve the player without the need of buying brand new.I use this for about 7 hours straight five nights a week, and almost never have battery problems. Turns on pretty quick and is easy to navigate around in.With the sd slot you can expand the storage space exponentially, currently 32 gigs is the largest. Played every file I ever tried to put on it without issue. Besides, NewEgg is awesome.I haven't seen anybody else mention this issue in their reviews, so I'm going with me bing the odd one out.Overall Review: I never used the headphones that came with it. It's not really their fault, they just sold it to me. I'm going to try to work with SanDisk to get it replaced for being defective, and I'm not going to bother NewEgg with it. I was able to fix this that last two times, but this one is being a bit more of a pain. I hook it to the computer and it tells me that 6.5 Gigs are being used. ![]()
